Below some pictures showing Nokia 770 and Nokia wireless keyboard in action.
Configuration is really easy:
- download the file btkeyboard-plugin_0.2.2-2_arm.deb
- transfer file to 770
- install plugin via control panel / application installer
- reboot 770
- bluetooh icon appears in the status indicator area (leftmost)
- switch keyboard on
- click bluetooth icon and click “connect input device”
- you’re connected when bluetooth icon truns blue.
Wireless keyboard works very well. Combination of large display of Nokia 770 and full keyboard allows for “desktop like” text input.
Of course series 60 dedicated keys (menu, email, soft buttons,…)don’t work. Essential enhancement, especially if you also own a series 60 phone, so you can use the keyboard with both devices.

I purchased today in Helsinki a BT keyboard SU-8W (German/Scandinavian versio, EURO 1) for Nokia 770 and installed it succesfully as instructed above.
I have in Control panel / Language and regional settings: Your region : Suomi(Suomi) (i.e. Finland) and Device language: English (United Kingdom) because Finnish is not available.
Keystrokes generate characters according to English layout, not from Scandinavian layout. No Ä Ö Å are available although Z and Y are in normal places (QWERTY), not in German way (QWERTZ).
I also tried with Device language: Spanish, and after reboot the user interface was in spanish language but BT keyboard behaved as English.
With Nokia Series 60 phone when Finnish language is selected, all keys in Scandinavian layot are generated perfectly.
Keyboard does not allow long interruptions, because if not used for 10 minutes it automatically switches off and bluetooth must be reconnected.
